Quizlet is a popular website to use for reading quizzes, but how often does it actually get used in a school context?
Here’s a quiz to test your ability to both understand and associate with a concept — it’s Quizlet.com, and, among other online learning platforms, it’s a substantial, respected, and highly valued participant in the school environment. Quizlet for Education is used by schools and administrators to create, manage, and share study materials, not to mention a vast array of games, crafts, quizzes, puzzles, quizzes, and more.
In fact, Quizlet’s popularity stems almost exclusively from teachers and parents using it to help children with math and reading comprehension — almost all of Quizlet’s learning materials are math-based.
Quizlet’s New API Is The Largest Of Its Kind
Released in July 2018, Quizlet’s first mobile version improved upon the tool’s website and app-based application. Whereas previously, learning content was tied to a particular site, it now can be accessed across a diverse range of devices. Now, students and teachers can access quiz content on their iPhone and iPad and, in turn, perform exercises, essays, and quizzes on Quizlet’s open-source platform.
Adding more support to the platform, Quizlet recently added an API that includes streamlined link-generation for quizzes, essays, and research databases, as well as a powerful search tool for students and teachers alike.
It sounds like a lot of work, and the platform is expensive to implement, but Quizlet has proved its worth as the go-to for educational programs because it fits with educators’ and parents’ schedules perfectly.
Quizlet Is Offering Its Service To Schools For Free
Teachers can register for Quizlet’s free services if they’re a longtime user of one of the platform’s built-in features, and if you take the quiz above (and score at least a two out of five), you’ll be automatically invited to download Quizlet as a standalone app.
Quizlet Public
Once you sign up for Quizlet, you can access all of the platform’s information, which includes a quick overview of how and where you’re accessing content, the way you can navigate through the platform, the way you can share content, and the other features of the software.
Quizlet said that the open-source release has received “over 1.5 million downloads and five years of usage from schools and organizations worldwide,” and it can provide access to tools that range from games to exercise materials to professional learning resources. Quizlet can even help you quickly find the best lesson plan for your classroom, provide reading guides, and even answer academic questions from your students.
Quizlet For Government
Unlike many platforms and tools designed for school classrooms, Quizlet’s public service seeks to bring academic assessments into the school setting. The platform offers federal test prep materials (EdAssist) for different state tests like the Ontario, Louisiana, and District 2 reading and math exams; questions (EdAssist Experts); and training; and assessments. Educational assessments from other sources, like the Common Core, are available to schools in a variety of forms, from test providers to exam makers, and access to a wide range of test options is available.
