Learning How To Drap- Better Done In Person Or Can Be Done Online?

Draping sticks are soothing and relaxing. They’re stuck firmly in place, which prevents them from slipping off your body. You don’t need to worry about a messy hanging process, and you’re not getting tangled in a static loop to your shame. That’s because they’re also fantastic at enhancing air circulation. Just simply place the drapes against a wall, either vertical or horizontal.

Once you’ve found a roll of drapes you like, you can quickly put on your most comfortable sneaker. Underneath you should have a pair of socks, and with the tops off your hands, you’ll be able to move your arms freely as you use the tops of your fingers to press them against the wall and help your upper body relax.

Keep in mind that you are relieving stress. The reflex here is to take a deep breath as you relax in the drapes. This is good, and you should, however, be aware that your eyes should be open, watching as you take a deep exhale. This helps avoid putting pressure on the eyes, which can result in them feeling a bit like they are going to burst at the seams when they become disturbed.

This can be done any time of day, and the result will be as soothing as you’ve decided to make it. The trick is to keep the drapes up all night long, which is harder than it sounds, but it’s worth the effort. Be careful, though, and avoid drapes with hand-hooks, as these will pull easily off the back of your legs. Check out the video above to learn how to do this.

We promise that no matter how it’s done, doing so in person makes it more fun! If you know someone who is really into drapes, or just find yourself a bit of a pro draping throw in the near future, you can check out the full instructions in the video above.
