This edition of PopBits is for the best thing I’ve heard all day, and it’s because this game for Pokémon GO is so awesome.
Learning How To Dance While Earning Points For Your Avatar Online
Gearing up for a holiday party or some kind of gathering, the thought of dancing can give you a lot of self-esteem bumps. Hanging out with those you love, feeling better about yourself, dancing, and having some good old fashioned fun. Sounds like a win-win, right?
Well, not if you happen to be a PlayStation Kart gamer. Now, I’m no Dancing with the Stars, I can’t dance and I haven’t been to a karaoke bar in my entire life, but I have been to hundreds of video games, and I can safely say that the PlayStation Kart segment is among the best. The first time I listened to the playlist, I was like a kid in a candy store.
It’s a diverse mix, comprised of some of my all-time favorites like Smash Mouth’s “All Star,” Scorpions’ “Lets Go,” and Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know.” It also includes indie-rock acts like Queens of the Stone Age and the Flaming Lips, while classics like “Jingle Bell Rock” and “All I Want for Christmas Is You” round out the playlist.
Seriously, who doesn’t love New York (or at least part of it) or Belize? With soundtracks like Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars,” and “I Believe I Can Fly,” it’s well worth keeping your virtual dance card. Also, to be honest, I’m secretly huge fan of Duran Duran. I may not be a Barbra Streisand fan, but Duran Duran is actually one of my favorite bands. Hearing “Hungry Like the Wolf” or “Rio” is one of my favorite experiences.
Since I’m very comfortable picking up every trophy/progress bar from every title, I wouldn’t be crazy if the dance party series does become a regular feature on PlayStation.
